Sinkane is the musical project of multi-instrumentalist Ahmed Gallab, known for blending pop, funk, electronic music, and Sudanese influences into a distinctive, globally inspired sound. His work draws from the energy of ’70s–’80s New York and the deep roots of Black musical traditions, creating music that feels both timeless and forward-looking.
His eighth album, We Belong, is a love letter to Black music weaving together gospel, Afrobeat, and funk while telling a broader cultural story. Marking a shift from his largely solo approach, the album embraces collaboration, featuring co-lyricist Amanda Khiri and a diverse community of musicians. The result is a rich, genre-spanning record centered on connection, creativity, and collective identity.
